Your tasks

  • Draft and negotiate enforceable contracts relating to intellectual property legal services (patent annuity payments, trademark renewals, recordal of changes, EP validations etc.) and IP management software (license, maintenance and support, hosting, SaaS etc.) in English and German language
  • Advise the operational departments and support functions (Business Development, Marketing, IT, HR etc.) in EMEA and the U.S. in all legal matters
  • Draft and review corporate policies and support our global compliance function
  • Keep abreast with international legal developments in IT security, data protection, and export control
  • Manage and control intragroup contracts
  • Improve and document internal processes for our Quality Management System
  • Maintain our contract management system and create management reports

Your profile

  • Law degree with above-average results and a minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position is a must
  • Legal all-rounder with strong contract drafting and negotiation skills with a proven interest in intellectual property and software
  • An additional specialization in a certain legal field (e.g. taxes, HR, IT) is welcome
  • Strong business orientation and commercial sense
  • Excellent English and German language skills are a must; a good command of other languages (Japanese, Chinese) is a plus
  • Service-oriented towards external customers and colleagues with excellent interdisciplinary communication skills
  • Accustomed to cope with varying demands and tasks at a time
  • Hands-on mentality and ambitious towards achieving objectives
  • Critical mind-set, great attention to detail, a structured and autonomous working style
  • Strong team orientation
