The Dennemeyer Group is proud to have received numerous awards in the World Trademark Review's annual guide recognizing world-class legal practice. The 2024 edition of WTR 1000 celebrates the exceptional contributions made to the industry by Dennemeyer offices and experts.
As well as its exemplary individual talent, the Group was spotlighted for software innovations, outstanding strategic performance and added value for clients around the world.
Esteem in WTR 1000
The WTR 1000 leverages exhaustive research to acknowledge both firms and individuals for market presence, work sophistication and depth of expertise.
This year, the Dennemeyer Group was recommended among trademark service providers globally, with additional silver awards in Benelux and Croatia. The Luxembourg headquarters was lauded for working "in perfect sync across an international network of offices and correspondents," using in-house developed software tools to "facilitate the seamless management of assets worldwide." Similarly, the Croatian office was praised for its efficient cross-border prosecution of large portfolios.
Leading the trademark practice at Dennemeyer & Associates Luxembourg, Olivier Lombardo was highly recommended for his decades of experience in Intellectual Property (IP) and in-depth understanding of trademark law, translating into "commercially sound, easily executable strategies." We are honored to have Olivier Lombardo on our team — and to receive such noteworthy acclaim for his leadership.
From Dennemeyer & Associates Croatia, Tomislav Hadzija and "rising star" Nina Kolar, were also celebrated by the WTR. Tomislav Hadzija earned an exceptional place in the gold ranking band for his expertise in trademark filings, trademark prosecution and more. Nina Kolar appeared in the bronze category — earning plaudits for her hard work, including handling more than 12 oppositions at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) for a leading automotive company.
At the same time, Dennemeyer & Associates Italy, through De Simone & Partners, is represented throughout the guide.
The agency received a silver ranking, richly deserved by what the WTR 1000 calls "a stellar IP boutique with an impressive track record of success in opposition and invalidity actions." The guide also mentions "impressive agility," "holistic advice" and "a remarkable range of expertise," noting that De Simone & Partners maintains an enviable team capable of ensuring robust trademark protections.
On that note, De Simone & Partners practitioners also made the list. Massimo Cimoli earned a silver ranking, with the WTR highlighting that he "brings particular expertise in domain name disputes" and serves as a Czech Arbitration Court panelist. Lucia Granieri was also acclaimed, placing in the bronze band with her first appearance in the rankings. The WTR 1000 praised her "keen eye for detail," having recently worked with Massimo Cimoli to defend GIOEL against trademark cancellation action before the EUIPO Board of Appeal.
How to use the WTR 1000
The WTR performs nuanced studies and contextualizes each with a library of global news, detailed analytics and curated insights. This helps position the WTR 1000 as a valuable resource for research across the trademark environment.
Current clients can use the WTR 1000 to learn more about their legal representatives from an unbiased, expert perspective. Meanwhile, prospective clients may use the guide to compare firms and individuals before making final partnership decisions. Firms themselves can even leverage the WTR 1000 as a development tool by identifying which elements of their services are considered worthy of credit.
At Dennemeyer, we celebrate these achievements and look forward to a future shaped by success. Congratulations to Tomislav Hadzija, Massimo Cimoli, Nina Kolar, Lucia Granieri and Olivier Lombardo. It takes more than extraordinary individuals to make an extraordinary team, which is why we champion these everyday efforts from our trademark experts and everyone at the Dennemeyer Group.
